Vom Abkühlen bis zum trockenen Rad

Warte nach der Fahrt mindestens eine Viertelstunde, bevor du sprühst. Die Felge muss kalt und trocken sein: kalt, weil das Gel auf einer warmen Schüssel antrocknet, bevor die Reaktion durch ist, und trocken, weil Wasser das Gel im Moment des Auftragens verdünnt. In der prallen Sonne wird gar nicht gearbeitet, sondern das Auto vorher in den Schatten gestellt.

Sprühkopf öffnen und die Felge satt von unten nach oben einnebeln. Nabe, Speichengrund und die Kante zum Reifen bewusst mitnehmen, denn dort sitzt der meiste Abrieb und dort trifft der Wasserstrahl beim Spülen am schlechtesten. Das Gel bleibt auf der senkrechten Fläche stehen, du musst nicht nachlegen.

3 bis 5 Minuten einwirken lassen. Bei Temperaturen unter 10 °C oder bei stark zugesetzten Felgen gibt Dr. Wack mindestens 10 Minuten vor. In dieser Zeit geht das rosa Gel dort ins Rotviolette, wo eisenhaltiger Abrieb sitzt. Diese Verfärbung ist die Anzeige, nicht das Ergebnis.

Mit kräftigem Wasserstrahl von oben nach unten abspülen, bis kein rosa Schleier mehr abläuft, und die Felge direkt mit einem Trockentuch nachwischen. Arbeite Rad für Rad einzeln durch, nicht alle vier parallel. Bleibt ein Rest sichtbar, folgt ein zweiter kurzer Durchgang, keine verlängerte Einwirkzeit.

Aus dem 2-, 5- oder 25-Liter-Gebinde füllst du in eine Sprühflasche oder in den P21S Druck-Sprüher um. Die Großgebinde kommen ohne Sprühkopf, die 25-Liter-Nachfüllstation zusätzlich ohne Auslaufhahn.

Hinweise: Das POWER GEL löst eisenhaltigen Bremsabrieb, es ersetzt keine Versiegelung — nach dem Abspülen ist die Felge blank und nimmt den nächsten Abrieb genauso schnell auf. Bei hochglanzpolierten und eloxierten Oberflächen prüfst du die Verträglichkeit vorher an verdeckter Stelle. Für Reifendruckkontrollsysteme ist das Gel freigegeben, säurehaltige Alternativen sind es nicht zwingend. Der Geruch ist trotz Duftstoffen deutlich, in geschlossenen Räumen entsprechend lüften.
