What is GYEON Q²M QuickDetailer? A carnauba-based quick detailer for daily interim care that gently removes dust film, fingerprints, and light water spots from paint, glass, and plastic, leaving behind a warm, natural carnauba shine. Can be used on dry paint, ceramic coatings, waxes, and sealants, as well as a drying aid on wet vehicles. Not suitable for heavy contamination, brake dust, dried bird droppings, or temperatures below 10 °C — these require a wash.

GYEON Q²M QuickDetailer is a carnauba-based quick detailer from GYEON that, without water consumption, gently lifts dust film, fingerprints, and light water spots from painted surfaces while building up a thin carnauba wax film. The shine is different from pure silicone-polymer detailers: warmer, more natural, and without the slightly plastic-like finish that cheaper alternatives leave behind. The product is available in three sizes – 500 ml, 1 liter, and 4 liters.

Its working principle is physically simple: carnauba wax forms a hard, thin film over the existing paint or sealant layer, creating a hydrophobic layer. Dust particles and fingerprint grease adhere less strongly to this layer and can be lifted off with a microfiber cloth without mechanical pressure. A clean cloth is always a prerequisite – a used cloth that smears will spread particles over the paint instead of lifting them, leaving micro-scratches that are particularly visible on dark paints in side lighting.

1 to 2 sprays on the cloth are enough for a normal segment: bonnet, roof, or side panel. The cloth is guided over the surface with light, even pressure, then turned over, and the surface is buffed with the clean side. This takes under 60 seconds per segment. A compact vehicle is ready in 8 to 10 minutes – without a water connection, without subsequent drying time.

As a drying aid, Q²M QuickDetailer can also be used on a wet car: 2–3 sprays onto the drying towel, and the towel glides more smoothly over the paint, leaving fewer water spots while simultaneously building up the carnauba layer. The water content on the surface slightly dilutes the product – consumption drops to about 20–25 ml per vehicle, and the gloss intensity is slightly lower than on completely dry paint.

Important: Do not work on heavily heated surfaces or in direct sunlight. Carnauba wax dries on hot paint before it can spread evenly, then leaves dried streaks that can only be buffed out with more cloth and more pressure. In the early morning or in the shade, the QuickDetailer works reliably. The surface should not feel warmer than 25 °C in direct sunlight – if it is significantly warmer, shade it for 10 minutes and then spray.

Dust film and fingerprints, yes. Brake dust and bird droppings, no.

Q²M QuickDetailer is designed for light, dry contamination – dust film after a garage drive, fresh fingerprints, light streaks after the last rain. These impurities can be safely lifted with the lubricating formula without risk of scratches.

For brake dust, dried bird droppings, construction dirt, or salt deposits, the Q²M QuickDetailer does not work – and this is not a product weakness, but physics. These contaminants require either water for pre-wetting or specific chemical agents that the product does not contain. Trying to wipe off dried bird droppings with a quick detailer risks scratches – the droppings will be pushed over the paint with the cloth instead of being softened and lifted. In these cases: pre-soak first or wash, then use the QuickDetailer as a finish.

Below 10 °C, carnauba wax loses its binding ability. The film can be applied and looks good shortly after application, but no longer has measurable adhesion and will largely be rinsed off with the next rain. In winter, GYEON Q²M WetCoat, which is polymer-based and cross-links more efficiently at lower temperatures, is the better choice for regular care.

On ceramic sealants, Q²M QuickDetailer acts as a top layer and is explicitly approved for these surfaces. It is not a substitute for a dedicated coating refresher product – but it maintains gloss and hydrophobicity between detailing intervals at a visibly higher level than without interim care. Combining both – QuickDetailer weekly, refresher product every six to eight weeks – measurably extends the coating's lifespan.

Surfaces with a regular carnauba top layer bind less fine dust into the sealant structure and can be completely cleaned with significantly less shampoo during the next wash. The QuickDetailer thus not only reduces maintenance effort between washes but also makes the washes themselves more efficient.

Application of GYEON Q²M QuickDetailer

On the cloth, not on the paint — this keeps the dosage controlled

Spray 1-2 pumps onto a clean microfiber towel (at least 320 GSM) before the towel touches the paint. Apply to the panel — hood, roof or side panel — with even, consistent pressure, then buff with the clean side of the towel or a second towel. The product spreads evenly without drying. This takes less than 60 seconds per panel.

As a drying aid on a wet car: Spray 2-3 pumps onto the drying towel, then wipe off as usual. The carnauba wax film builds up at the same time. Consumption on a wet vehicle: approx. 20-25 ml instead of the usual 40-50 ml on dry paint — the water content slightly dilutes the product.
